My Story

I am Brennon Borbon and I always love computers. Just like any curious cat out there, I was always amazed when I see a bunch of code even though I did not understand what it was meant to do. I began to investigate and suddenly find myself in the world of web development. I started slow but eventually, got the grasp of the holy trinity of web development which are HTML, CSS and Javascript. It's been quite a journey and today, I am constantly using these technologies to create awesome, meaningful and touching web projects.

I mainly used my Github account to store different code bases for my projects. You are free to check out some of my personal projects and public contributions there. I have done some freelance and contract jobs since diving into web technologies and have been part of some wonderful teams.

Moda Latina AU

An e-commerce website using shopify. The site owners wanted to improved the existing site and move towards 'headless' front-end solution. A new design was made and so, I given to worked on the landing page, product page, individual product page, cart page and footer.

Blue Cow Gelato AU

A website build which is still on-going. The store owners wanted to improve their existing website and so, we entirely built some new pages and components. I worked on some parts of the website like to forms, hero sections and the menu. The site is temporarily on netlify as the build is still in-progress, although I am no longer part of the build.

Hats E-Commerce Store

This is a HATS E-commerce Clothing Shop selling clothing,hats and shoe merchandise. Uses Goggle Firebase/Firestore for sign-in/sign-out(Authentication) and storing product data. Uses Redux for state management. Uses Snipcart to process automatic payment fields when making purchases.

GLF Online AU

GLF online is an online E-commerce website which specialises in selling Golf sports apparel for men and women. The project was to improve and migrate the existing shopify front-end into fully customised Gatsby(React) front-end going while retaining shopify to handle the back-end going full headless. I worked on the landing page, Products page and Individual product details page with the add button to cart feature .

Freelance Web Developer

I started accepting freelance gigs from January 2018 and worked mostly on making HTML and CSS templates for various clients.

Web Developer and I.T Staff for JMC Limited Denmark

JMC Limited is a Danish Painting Contractor serving the marine industry. The owner was a contact of mine and I offered my services to built his online presence and worked on the company internal I.T reporting software. I worked for the company from June 2018 untill December 2019.

Worked for Phiranno Designs

During the start of the pandemic, getting freelance jobs was very difficult due to the lockdowns. Fortunately, I got a contract and worked for Phiranno Design AU from June 2020 until 1st week of December 2020.
